Zhukovsky International Airport was opened on May 30, 2016. An agreement was signed on cooperation in airport and airfield services from Kazakhstani airlines Skat, Kyrgyz airline Air Kyrgyzstan, cargo airlines Aviastar-TU and Airline Sky Sky Gates Airlines. In the autumn of 2016, JSCo «Russian Railways» completed the construction of a platform for the reception of suburban high-comfort trains such as "Sputnik". Reconstruction of the M-5 "Ural" highway on the site of the bypass of the Oktyabrsky settlement allows you to shorten the journey time from Moscow to the airport from 45-80 minutes to 23-40 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. The further development of the airport complex will continue. By 2020, the capacity of terminals will reach - 12 million passengers per year.
